Shulgin Farm, renowned for its pivotal role in the psychedelic movement through the work of Alexander “Sasha” Shulgin and his wife Ann Shulgin, has launched the Seed Crystal Campaign. This initiative seeks to transform the historic site into a thriving center for education, community engagement, and the preservation of psychedelic heritage.
Located in Lafayette, California, Shulgin Farm is where Sasha Shulgin synthesized over 200 psychedelic compounds, exploring their potential alongside Ann Shulgin. Notably, in 1976, Sasha resynthesized MDMA, uncovering its significant therapeutic potential, which has strongly influenced modern psychedelic-assisted therapy.
With a fundraising goal of $3 million, the Seed Crystal Campaign aims to establish Shulgin Farm as a cultural hub for the psychedelic community. The campaign is named after the catalytic role seed crystals play in promoting growth, symbolizing the campaign’s goal to spark continual discovery and enlightenment within the psychedelic movement.
